Senior Auditor, Consolidated Edison - Job Code: 10-398
Qualifications: Must have a High School Diploma/GED. Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Management, Economics, or Business Administration is preferred. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Health & Safety or Environmental regulatory compliance. Requires computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The position requires an individual who has extensive knowledge in one or more of the following: Fire Protection/Life Safety, Employee Safety, Asbestos, Industrial Hygiene, PCB Management, Water Pollution Control, Petroleum & Chemical Storage Tanks, SPCC Regulations, Solid & Hazardous Waste Management. Hands-on EH&S experience in transmission, distribution and construction operations (electric, gas or steam), plant or substation operations and maintenance is preferred. Supervisory experience, Certifications in Corporate Environmental Health and Safety Procedures (CEHSPs) are a plus. CPEA (Environmental Compliance and/or Health and Safety), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or other relevant professional certification preferred.
Responsibilities: Will conduct Environmental, Health & Safety compliance audits of Company field and support operations to measure Environmental, Health & Safety compliance at various Company locations. Will ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Will participate in Management System Assessments of the Company’s EH&S programs. May participate in internal investigations at various Company locations.
Produce concise and lucid written reports and audits. Develop audit recommendations to sustain EH&S compliance. Maintain personal professional competency at a high level. May perform other related assignments as required.
The candidate must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to all Company and subsidiary work locations. Additional: Position requires extensive walking, standing and climbing.

Senior Auditor, Consolidated Edison - Job Code: 10-392
Qualifications: Candidate must possess a BA or BS degree and 2-4 years of auditing, construction, procurement, or similar experience. Previous engineering and/or operational experience is preferred. Professional audit certifications including, CIA, CFE, CISP, CPA, CISA, CPEA or other technical certifications are also preferred. Candidate must be comfortable with technology and be able to demonstrate high levels of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Candidate will be expected to be able to understand procedures, schematics and drawings and other materials that will be reviewed during the course of conducting their responsibilities. Experience with systems used in the business groups that will be audited, (i.e. COMPASS, PMS, Layout Tracking, CORS, and/or Perfect Commerce) is preferred. Experience with business intelligence (i.e. Cognos, Crystal Reports) and audit analysis tools (i.e. ACL Audit Exchange) are also preferred.
Responsibilities: The selected candidate will conduct management and operational audits and investigations of construction projects, contractor activities and new business service projects. The audits will measure and evaluate process controls and operational efficiency and performance. In addition, the audits will assess adherence to operating policies and procedures, procurement and contractor oversight programs, and the Corporate Standards of Business Conduct. The Senior Auditor will be required to produce concise reports that include specific recommendations to improve operational effectiveness. In addition, they will be required to present audit findings to departmental and senior management. The Senior Auditor will be expected to maintain their professional competency at a high level and complete various training courses including, "Interviewing Techniques", and other Audit-related topics. Additional projects may be assigned at the discretion of the Section Manager.
