Essential:

  • Compliance Audit Group Leader Location:Fort Washington, PA

URS is currently searching for a Compliance Audit Group Leader in our Fort Washington, PA office. The position involves managing a group of several compliance auditors. Responsibilities include conducting EHS compliance audits, management system audits, and multimedia EHS compliance services at numerous facilities for chemical, manufacturing, oil and gas,and commercial and public sector clients.

Position requires 15 + years of consulting experience conducting EHS compliance audits, management system audits, and multimedia EHS compliance services at numerous facilities. Experience in the chemical, manufacturing, oil and gas, commercial and public sectors is required. CPEA certification preferred.  Very strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing environmental compliance is required. Selected candidate will have strong communication and business development skills including large and small client account management. Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering is required.

  • Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist Location: Houston, Texas

    Work in a growing and dynamic compliance group dedicated to providing excellent service and technical consulting for the petrochemical industry.  Grow personally and professionally as part of a multiline team working on challenging projects. Will manage and direct RCRA regulatory compliance inspections, audits and assessments; evaluate regulatory requirements; prepare permit applications; develop compliance plans and programs; prepare and implement RCRA closure plans; develop and conduct personnel training programs; conduct meetings and negotiations with agency personnel; and develop compliance recommendations. 

    BS required (MS preferred) in Environmental Engineering or Science with a minimum of 10 years of regulatory permitting and compliance consulting experience in Texas, as a consultant or as an industry representative in the Chemical/Petrochemical sector.  40 hour OSHA training required.  Previous regulatory agency (TCEQ or EPA) experience preferred. Experience and/or understanding of site investigations (RFIs and APARs); wastewater and storm water compliance and permitting; EMS/ISO1400/SMIS programs, multimedia audits and compliance, and BEAC Certification is a plus.  Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex regulatory issues effectively.  Must have progressive project management experience and be capable of managing multiple projects.   Will assist to expand work with existing clients and develop new client relationships.
