COMMITTEES

 

The following standing committees have been established to make recommendations to the BEAC Board of Directors:

Certification Committee
The Certification Committee oversees staff actions relating to the issuance or withdrawal of certifications, use or abuse of the CPEA designation and seal, and other activities relating to certification decisions.  The Certification Committee reviews all applications on which staff has made a recommendation to the Board of Directors and presents the recommendations to the Board of Directors for Board action.

Ethics Committee

The Ethics Committee oversees the development and implementation of a Code of Ethics, addresses issues of professional responsibility as may be referred to the Committee, and serves as the panel or tribunal established for any due process hearings.

Examination Committee
The Examination Committee determines the passing score on BEAC exam(s), and oversees development, maintenance, and modification of exam(s) and questions.  The Examination Committee is further responsible for establishing procedures related to administration of exam(s), grading of exam(s), and notification of exam results. 

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee provides input into the marketing and promotion of BEAC to promote the value of BEAC certification.

 
Responsible Care® Committee
The Responsible Care® Committee oversees staff actions relation to the Responsible Care® Certification Program in partnership with the American Chemistry Council. The Responsible Care Committee® reviews all applications relating to Responsible Care® auditor certification, Audit Service Providers, ASP Witnesses, and Responsible Care® Training Course Providers.

Training & Education Committee
The Training & Education Committee provides input into technical content, criteria, and requirements for education and training supporting BEAC's certification programs.
 
The BEAC Board of Directors may establish or abolish standing or special committees for any purpose. 
 

Active Committee Volunteers Needed

    All BEAC CPEAs in good standing are encouraged and invited to become involved in BEAC Committe work. Committee volunteers may be eligible to receive CPD credit for participation as a committee member. To obtain information about participating on a BEAC committee, please contact info@beac.org.
