CERTIFICATION
Management System

BEAC has replaced the EMS-14000 Plus CPEA with the Management System certification program. The BEAC Management Systems CPEA certification is an attestation of an EHS auditor's education, auditing experience, auditor training, personal and professional skills and attributes, and adherence to the BEAC Standards for Professional Practice and Code of Ethics.

The Management Systems CPEA certification criteria build on ISO 19011:2002 - Guidelines for Quality and/or Environmental Management Systems Auditing - along with a combination of environmental, health, and safety science and technology, EHS management systems standards, and auditing principles and procedures. Auditing experts identified these criteria as the generally-accepted credentials necessary for an EHS professional to effectively perform EHS management systems audits and include:

      • Understanding EHS Laws and Regulations
      • Assessing Compliance with EHS Laws and Regulations
      • Identifying EHS Aspects and Impacts
      • Applying Professional Auditing Practices such as those prescribed by the BEAC Standards for the Professional Practice of Environmental, Health and Safety Auditing.
