E. Training & Education Committee - Standing Committee

Bylaws, Article VI, Section 2: The Training and Education Committee shall advise on and provide input into the technical content, criteria, and requirements for education and training supporting the examination and certification programs.

General

  • Mission : To provide input into the technical content, criteria, and requirements for education and training which support BEAC examination and certification programs.
  • Structure: The Committee is comprised of Certified Professional Environmental, Health and Safety Auditors (CPEAs). Non-CPEAs can be appointed to the committee with approval of the BEAC Chair.
  • Responsibilities :
    • In conjunction with the Certification Committee, define the training requirements for certification applicants.
    • In conjunction with the Certification Committee, define the continuing education requirements for CPEAs and administer the continuing education reporting requirements.
    • In conjunction with the Examination Committee, develop and update the "Competency Framework of Environmental, Health and Safety Auditors" and examination study guides.
    • Develop and administer the "BEAC Training Course Provider Recognition Program".
    • Periodically evaluate the quality of training courses available for certification applicants and certified auditors. If the quality or quantity of available courses is determined to be insufficient, propose recommendations to the BEAC Board. Recommendations could include development of courses by AR and/or IIA or by BEAC if the parent organizations decline.
