Professional certification for EHS Auditors

  • BEAC is a PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION BOARD.
  • BEAC issues the CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL AUDITOR (CPEA) and CERTIFIED PROCESS SAFETY AUDITOR (CPSA) designations to qualified auditors.
  • BEAC auditor certification specialties include Environmental Compliance; Health & Safety; Management Systems; Responsible Care®; Process Safety.
  • BEAC issues Standards related to the practice of environmental, health and safety auditing.
  • BEAC does not have chapters, hold conferences, or provide training courses.

BEAC's parent organizations, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and The Auditing Roundtable, have merged. BEAC will soon become a wholly-owned subsidiary of The IIA.

Administration of the BEAC certification programs is being transitioned to The IIA Certification Group.
